Established in 2016, Starblue Russian Blues is a CFA registered cattery breeding exceptional show and pet russian blues. The first foundational females for Starblue came to Starblue (formerly Star Azure) in 2016. These two beautiful girls made Starblue what it is today, arriving from established Russian Blue breeders who had been breeding beautiful Russian Blues since the 1980s.
Starblue is located in West Linn, Oregon. Our cattery is an "in-home" cattery and not open to the public. We have only a few litters every year and the wait can be anywhere from 1-12 months, depending on the time of year and demand.
The health and welfare of all Starblue kittens and cats is our top priority, whether we are breeding show cat or a family pet.
**Russian blues are sweet tempered, loyal, funny, and smart companions who will capture your heart. The Russian blue will follow you everywhere but in an unobtrusive manner. Don't be surprised if she greets you when you come home, watches TV on your lap, and sleeps snuggled up with you.
**Russian blues are known for being low shedding and also quiet. While they have reasonable energy, they are not destructive and often play with toys their whole lives.
**The Russian Blue is a dedicated animal, usually picking one person in the family as her person, but at the same time is warm and affectionate to all.
**Russian Blues are great with children if treated kindly and are generally patient and calm.

Finding a quality Russian Blue kitten while avoiding scams is no easy task. Starblue is a member of the Russian Blue Breed Council and the Russian Blue Fanciers. Kittens purchased from Starblue will be high quality and with a certificate for registration with the CFA - the Cat Fanciers' Association.
While not every kitten will be show quality, each and every kitten is a fine representation of the Russian blue breed. Pet quality does not mean the kitten is inferior, and many kittens placed as pets would perform well in the show ring.
Starblue Kittens are regularly available. Most kittens are placed in their forever homes at approximately 14 weeks and come spayed and neutered, dewormed, and with some vaccinations. Rabies cannot be administered until age 16 weeks. Occasionally, Starblue will have a pointed russian blue which is White in color with blue points and blue eyes.
